This weekend I met up Erin and Brian - an adooooooorable couple expecting their first baby THIS WEEK!!! I’ve never photographed a maternity session so close to their due date before - and I must say that Erin worked it OUT!!!! She is all belly, totally graceful and beautifully glowing - just like everyone hopes to be while they’re expecting. We walked all around this historic train track site and soaked in the evening summer sun. Brian kept making Erin giggle and I can tell he’s going to be such a great dad, as he patiently hung around while Erin and I gabbed about nursing and delivery. Sorry Brian…you win extra bonus points for that!

They are part of my bellies & babies package and I’m already so excited for their newborn session!! Enjoy these few for now!

Um - hello beautiful.

Then comes moving across the country, a military career…and now a baby on the way! This gorgeous couple just oozed excitement and happiness over their baby girl due soon, and I loved that we did this photosession around sunset. Happy expectant couple + a setting sun + warm summer nights = beautiful! I was so excited when she mentioned doing some photos in his military dress uniform too…her all dolled up (complete with red lips and kitten heels!) and him strong and tall in his uniform…it totally brought to mind to a vintage era. I loved loved loved hanging out with these two and chatting about their little one on the way - so fun!

This weekend I met up with this gorgeous and sweet couple to photograph their maternity session and I had such a blast! Well that is if you put aside trying to find parking in Georgetown for 35 minutes…which I will, because luckily I found a semi-spot and didnt get towed. Our session ended up being the same time as a big run through the city which was actually very cool because this adorable couple are quite the runners themselves! They are also two of the kindest and loveliest people ever and their baby is so lucky to have such excited and awesome parents! The surprise is still to come on whether they’re having a boy or a girl, but my vote is boy (because I want Heath to have a little playmate!)

Cant wait to meet your little one - enjoy these last few weeks and I’ll pass along the advice so many moms before me said - GET YOUR SLEEP NOW!!!

Eek!!! 5 weeks left until my due date - how did time go by so quickly?! I must admit - pregnancy has been so much fun for me. I’ve felt fantastic every day, have loved feeling Heath hiccup and kick, and have been so happy thinking about this little man who is already loved so much. I keep telling dave that with as much as I’ve loved being pregnant that I now want 10 kids. Annnnd as you can probably imagine, there are no words in the English language to describe his expression when I mention this…

Woah there…how did I make it to 30 weeks already!? Actually I’m technically at 31 tomorrow…the countdown has basically hit single digit weeks. I am (like probably every expectant mom thinks) totally and completely not prepared. But I’m sure over these next few weeks I’ll figure out the ins and outs of cloth diapering, what laundry detergent I should get and wash all the little clothes (and crib sheets that our cat keeps enjoying as her nap spot - not cool minnie, not cool), and finally read all of these baby books I keep renting from the library and using as paper weights.

I’m feeling him kick all the time now, and I love feeling his little arms and legs move around. I cant wait to meet him!!!
