I had an awesome time meeting up with this cool family and seeing their INCREDIBLE nursery in person! They were one of my finalists in the Nursery Contest and I was so excited to check out all their little personal touches and decor items. Baby John was adoooooorable as well and I couldnt get enough of his sweet dimples! Check out their sweet family below and be prepared for some awesome nursery ideas!

Sooooo adorable!!

So I used to bribe her as a kid to play dolls (and school, and tag, and pretty much everything) with me and of course it shouldnt have surprised me that I had to drag her out of the house to take a couple quick photos. But the cherry blossoms were gorgeous today, and so (as always) was my sister, so we took these quickly before she ran away.

My mom almost gave her an out too as while we were taking these my mom reversed out of the driveway and nearly side swiped my new car. Thanks mom!

1. Headed to Raleigh, NC for the holiday weekend and LOVING THIS WEATHER!!!!! Spending Q time with the in laws is always fun – so lucky to have such great parents and siblings-in laws!

2. Did some double duty planning and scheduled my own maternity photo session this weekend with one of my all time favorite photographers – the talented and super sweet Linda Wallace of Linda Wallace Photography. I cant wait to see the images as she was so creative in her suggestions and ideas. It was really fun being in front of the camera this time, and I loved ‘talking shop’ with her. I’ll be sure to share the pics when I get them!

3. On the baby front – I’ve officially hit 37 weeks and am now in my 9th month of pregnancy…full term baby! I’m still feeling great though I’ve had to sadly put my rings away because my fingers are starting to resemble overstuffed sausages. I’m cherishing every single day I have with Heath in my belly so I can still enjoy having him all to myself. :)

4. NCAA tourny excitement!!! Of course I wish Wake was still in it – but I’ll be happy seeing Butler play and even though Duke and Wake are rivals (well probably only from wake’s perspective) I’ll enjoy seeing them play as well. Love college bball!!

5. So excited about the weather turning warm again too! I love all the gorgeous cherry blossom trees and flowers everywhere…there’s something about spring and 70 degree temps that just make me happy!

Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Please let me relish in my glory that I’ve actually remembered to do this today! :)

1. GOOOOOO DEACS!!!! Huge shout out to my Wake Forest fans here (any any other NCAA march madness crazies). Our game vs. Texas went down to the wire last night, and while I have no idea how we managed to lose our early lead, I’ll take the W! Tough game up next though with Kentucky…should be interesting!

2. We just got back from a bit of a babymoon in Florida and it was awesome! The weather was perfection, the sunsets were gorgeous, the water cold (but hey we had a pool too) and it was a great time had by all. I read 2 completely contradictory books on parenting and realized that Dave’s idea of winging it might actually have some merit. Some snaps below of our trip – enjoy!

3. I dont want to jinx it because I really, REALLY dont want to see it…but I think we may be out of the woods with snow! Could we really have an entire month of March with no snow here? PLEASE!!!!

4. Along those lines, my first vegetable garden is tilled (I think I used that word correctly) and limed (no idea on that one) and soon I’ll be testing the PH balance. Of course I have no idea how to do that, but it sounds like a good starting point. I’m so excited to try to grow something now that we have land! I’m planning an ambitious start – lots of herbs, veggies and even some fruit. If anything survives my black thumb I’ll be sure to post photos. Plants going in the ground on Mother’s Day!

5. Why are items made by Graco so difficult to assemble? The swing and the pack and play for Heath are RIDICULOUS! The directions seem to miss entire steps and nothing seems to come together the way it looks on the box. Our living room is starting to resemble the island of misfit toys. 6 more weeks until my due date – I cant believe he’ll be here so soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!
