I’ve been so excited to share this with you – an incredibly gorgeous album that I actually remembered to photograph this time before delivering it to a client! This album is jaw droppingly gorgeous…from the thick sturdy pages to the lovely hand picked fabric brocade cover, this album truly is amazing. This is my luxe album that is included with my bellies & babies package as well as at the end of all my baby planner’s sessions, and can be created for every client session.

My clients love that their images are beautifully displayed and are also pretty sturdy which make them great for little fingers and a home with kids. This album began with beautiful images, and then we used their home decor to come up with the layout and design, as well as pick the gorgeous gold cover. Everything came together perfectly and this is going to look stunning on their coffee table for years to come. These albums come with almost endless choices for the cover (from brocade patterns to vibrant leather colors, and even suede and fabric options) and I work with your preferences and the images to create the perfect design layout. Some look great with a classic or modern border, others with a whimsical splash of color, and others look perfect with the romantic textures and patterns shown below.

I love designing albums!

I’ll be honest…I’m ready for spring! I hate the winter and the cold, and only prefer snow when I’m skiing. My grandmother has a house full of old antique treasures that have taken on a whole new meaning to me now that I have a baby(and for my clients – there are some awesome finds in there that we can use for our sessions too if we want to do a styled session!). When it started to snow last week I remembered that she had this vintage sled from when my uncle was growing up, and I made sure to snag it for a photo op with Heath.

I have come to a new era with him though, where he’s starting to not enjoy having his photos taken by me. I knew this day would come, as many of my photographer friends have told me – they call it “PCS” or Photographer’s Child Syndrome (or something to that affect). He now wants nothing to do with me when I have my camera in hand, and in this particular case, would rather do a faceplant in the snow than stay on the sleigh to have his photos taken. So yes, unfortunately about 4 seconds after I took this image he hurled himself off the side and went right into the snow. What is it they say – the cobbler’s son has no shoes…

Perking up your week with some winter cuteness – note that he was wearing shoes but flung them down the hill into a pile of snow about 2 seconds before I started photographing him. Nice move kiddo.

Ahhhh what a year!

We welcomed new babies, celebrated birthdays and milestones, and cherished moments and memories with family and friends. As we reflect back on this year I’m sure you are in the same boat as me where you wonder where did the time go?! How is it 2011 already? How is my baby 8 months old and starting to crawl (uh oh)? Thankfully we have these moments captured in photos that we can treasure forever. As our kids get older and our families grow bigger we can always look back on these moments and remember exactly how we felt on that day at that time, and realize a bit of innocence and childhood magic has been bottled up for us to always have. It’s been an incredible year personally and professionally and for that I thank you – without my amazing family/friends and wonderful clients it wouldnt be the same! Here’s a look back at some of my favorite moments this year – have a wonderful New Years Eve and cheers to a great 2011!!

Don’t miss a moment!!! Happy New Year!
