I truly mean it when I say I love my clients…and yesterday was just another example of how great they are. This super funny and sweet family drove over an hour to my studio for their session and the kids were still all smiles when they got here. With the new cold chill in the air we kept warm under sweaters and jackets, and by running a few races through the fallen leaves. I love the two ages of these kids too – three year olds have such fun personalities and 7 month olds are sitting and smiling and so sweet. These two gorgeous kids also had some of the prettiest blue eyes I’ve ever seen. I’m so happy they (plus their family from California!) were able to make it up here for our session yesterday – enjoy these sneak peeks!!

How cool is this family – they have three amazingly adorable and well behaved (plus polite!) brothers and now have added a beeeeeeeautiful little baby sister. Could you ask for anything more perfect?! Sweet baby Kaia had all of us wrapped around her tiny fingers, and she was such a great little ‘model’. I had a great evening hanging out with this lovely family and the boys were such awesome helpers…I couldnt have done it all without them! Check out this adorable family – cant you see the joy and pride in their eyes over their new sister?!

Hello beautiful family!!!

Frederick Maryland Family Photographer

I just got back into town from an amaaaaazing family vacay to The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL. I’d never been there before – only went because Dave had a conference there – but it was spectacular in every way. The weather was perfect, the hotel was stunning, and the ocean was beautiful and warm. I was lucky to have my little sister come up and hang out for a few days, my mom with us to watch Heath, and my aunt/uncle visit for a fun afternoon by the pool (pina coladas in hand). Heath had such a great time too – he loved swimming in the pool and watching him check out the ocean for the first time was so cool. He was the king of the hotel with people jumping at any chance to play with him and see him smile…I was so proud to be his mom!

The trip was amazing and it was just what I needed to rejuvenate and gear up for my photography busy holiday season. I have over 200 photos from this trip but here are just a couple that I’ve pulled from the folder to edit for now.

Touching base quickly to post a couple photos from our FABUUUUUUUUUULOUS workshop this weekend. I had SO MUCH FUN hanging out with Amber of Little Moon Photography and all of our amazing participants.

My favorite part by far was working with each of the students individually and watching them have moments where they learned how to rock out their own cameras. Even though the weather was icky, and our model (um – Heath) decided to spit up all over the place, we had such a great time. Here are a couple of photos I snapped right before the students arrived – Amber and I were so happy with how this turned out and we’re already in talks of doing another workshop down the road.

Thanks to all who attended and to Amber for making this happen!

Since I happened to remember – a rare feat around here some days – here are some recent product photos that came through my studio door on the way out to clients. I love opening my packages from the labs…makes my day thinking about my clients getting to see their families in print like this. Love!

On the left/bottom right are some loose prints sized from 11×14 down to wallets. All my prints are lustre coated for protection and everything over 11×14 is mounted and given a luxurious texture finish. Beeeeeeautiful. The mounted prints can be hung in frames, leaned on an easel, secured to the wall with velcro tape (for a really cool modern/floating finish), and there are limitless other options for displaying them.

I also have some of my mini accordion albums that are suuuuuper cute and designed for each session. On the right are some bordered prints and a custom designed image box along with the digital CD including all of the high resolution edited images from a session. This is a really popular option for people loving to make their own albums, scrapbooks, cards, plus upload for email, facebook, etc.

I love these image boxes – they hold the CD for safe keeping as well as giving you an adorable keepsake from the session. They hold prints of every image so that you can see for yourself what the images are intended to print like, and I give you a printing release which has my recommended places to print high quality results for yourselves. Good stuff!
