I met up with this beautiful and fun family on the most GORGEOUS spring day this weekend to photograph their whole extended family. Three kids, three grandkids, a great family – they have much to celebrate and be thankful for on this Mother’s Day week! We let the kids run wild around the park while stopping to catch the pretty light in different spots, and then to let them be themselves. This family was so full of love and laughter – I could have hung around them all day. Enjoy these sneak peeks of this beautiful family!

Siena is 2 months old already and every day we find more things to love about her. She is SUCH a sweetheart – she rarely cries and loves being cuddled and held. She is a great eater, the best sleeper, and has started dishing out lots of smiles. She is getting more beautiful every day and her eyes are turning from what we thought were brown to a deep sapphire blue. I’m excited to see where they’ll end up! Her hair is coming in thicker and is still dark brown, and she’s growing like crazy!

Big bro Heath is doing awesome too. He’s in three different summer ‘camps’ (an art class, a general movement class, and a soccer class – which is going to be hilarious) and is loving getting outside in the warmer weather. He loves kissing his sister on the head, being an extremely picky eater, and being rocked to sleep by his daddy. He is very sweet as long as you dont want to try to share his toys…which we’re working on. In fact I believe in this photo he is holding a rattle that Siena had just been playing with…typical. Two years old can be a challenge but he makes it worthwhile.

I first met this beautiful family two years ago for their fall session with (then) baby Noah. He is now the proud big brother to adorable little newborn Emerson and I had the family out to my studio to photograph her newborn session. We ventured outside into the beautiful weather for a chance for some family photos, and for Noah to run around and play – and in about 2 minutes he managed to find several sticks, lots of buttercup flowers, and had a butterfly land on his finger. He is still a totally happy boy and his new little sister was a dream to photograph. She has the cutest features and the sweetest personality already. I loved meeting her and seeing how she is so loved by everyone!

I cant believe it myself, but my newborn baby girl is getting close to not being a newborn anymore. She’s inching more towards the ‘infant’ stage and has started smiling, cooing, getting pissed when her brother tries to jump on her (rightly so), and developing a strong preference for her mom to hold her ALL.THE.TIME. I always joked when Heath was little that I wished I had a clingy baby because Heath would literally jump out of my arms and into strangers’ in the middle of a grocery store. No seriously, that actually happened when he was 6 months old, and I am still a bit miffed over it all. Siena though is a total mama’s girl and while I secretly do love cuddling with her, it has been tough to get much done besides that. She is growing like crazy and I’ve already had to retire her newborn clothing. Heath is so sweet with her, and the other day I overheard her start to cry and could hear Heath walk over to her and kiss her head over and over. I am excited to see them grow up together because they already have such a sweet bond.

Here are a few photos I took tonight in the buttercup field outside of my studio. The bed is a vintage doll bed I borrowed from my grandmother and I love the mix of rustic and delicate vintage here!

Adorable baby Jaxon surprised his mama and daddy when he decided to make his arrival 5 weeks early! I met up with them when he was almost 3 weeks old to photograph his newborn session, and he was soooooo sweet! I was excited to meet him as I knew he would be photogenic – his parents had the best engagement session a few years ago HERE which is when we first met. Jaxon loved being cuddled and held and has the perfect newborn hair and skin. His sweet face would become so peaceful when his parents would hold him, and he loved being photographed! Siena is a month old! How fast time flies… Her favorite loves are being cuddled against your chest, bath time, eating, having people sing to her, sleeping and we’ve started getting an occasional smile. Those first smiles make everything worthwhile. Heath gets cuter and sweeter with her every day, and absolutely loves and protects her whenever he gets a chance. When he hears her cry he gets very concerned, and has started selflessly initiating his own nap when he realizes Siena needs us to put her to bed at the same time. It is amazing to watch them together and see Heath grow into a little boy while he cares for his baby sister. She just had her 1 month doctor visit and clocked in at 10 lbs and 22″ long! That puts her in the 75th percentile in pretty much both categories, which is a big growth spurt from when she was born at 7.7 and 20″! (Or was it 19″…this tired mom cant remember)

Here are two quick photos to update you on her little 1 month birthday (which admittedly was a few days ago, but who’s counting!)

I was so excited to see these two adorable babies again and see how much they’ve grown! I first met them as newborns and I cant believe they’re already 3 months old! They have family overseas waiting anxiously to see these too so a big hello from across the pond! In the past three months they’ve grown bigger, gotten really cool hair, have the cutest smiles and bright big eyes, and looooove being cuddled by their parents. They are such a sweet family and I am excited to see them grow over this next year!

Sweet 11 day old baby A was so beautiful and peaceful – she was the perfect newborn to get back into photographing clients after my own maternity leave! She was so sleepy and cuddly, loved being held by her awesome big brother, and even let us head outside for a few images in front of the gorgeous spring green leaves. I was so excited to meet this loving and beautiful family, and am excited to share these sneak peeks with you all!
