Please let me relish in my glory that I’ve actually remembered to do this today! :)

1. GOOOOOO DEACS!!!! Huge shout out to my Wake Forest fans here (any any other NCAA march madness crazies). Our game vs. Texas went down to the wire last night, and while I have no idea how we managed to lose our early lead, I’ll take the W! Tough game up next though with Kentucky…should be interesting!

2. We just got back from a bit of a babymoon in Florida and it was awesome! The weather was perfection, the sunsets were gorgeous, the water cold (but hey we had a pool too) and it was a great time had by all. I read 2 completely contradictory books on parenting and realized that Dave’s idea of winging it might actually have some merit. Some snaps below of our trip - enjoy!

3. I dont want to jinx it because I really, REALLY dont want to see it…but I think we may be out of the woods with snow! Could we really have an entire month of March with no snow here? PLEASE!!!!

4. Along those lines, my first vegetable garden is tilled (I think I used that word correctly) and limed (no idea on that one) and soon I’ll be testing the PH balance. Of course I have no idea how to do that, but it sounds like a good starting point. I’m so excited to try to grow something now that we have land! I’m planning an ambitious start - lots of herbs, veggies and even some fruit. If anything survives my black thumb I’ll be sure to post photos. Plants going in the ground on Mother’s Day!

5. Why are items made by Graco so difficult to assemble? The swing and the pack and play for Heath are RIDICULOUS! The directions seem to miss entire steps and nothing seems to come together the way it looks on the box. Our living room is starting to resemble the island of misfit toys. 6 more weeks until my due date - I cant believe he’ll be here so soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Woah there…how did I make it to 30 weeks already!? Actually I’m technically at 31 tomorrow…the countdown has basically hit single digit weeks. I am (like probably every expectant mom thinks) totally and completely not prepared. But I’m sure over these next few weeks I’ll figure out the ins and outs of cloth diapering, what laundry detergent I should get and wash all the little clothes (and crib sheets that our cat keeps enjoying as her nap spot - not cool minnie, not cool), and finally read all of these baby books I keep renting from the library and using as paper weights.

I’m feeling him kick all the time now, and I love feeling his little arms and legs move around. I cant wait to meet him!!!

The roads have somewhat been cleared and thankfully our power has stayed on - but this most recent snow has completely overwhelmed our state! We had to bring three different plows in to clean out our driveway - first a pickup truck with a plow, then a larger truck with a plow, and then finally a bulldozer. And you still cant see pavement! We have drifts in parking lots and on the sides of roads as tall as 20 feet. It’s been fun to see such a record snowfall but at this point I’m wondering if it will melt by March. I took a couple photos to try to show the scale of how much snow we’ve received but it’s hard to really tell. Basically if you add up the 3 feet we got last weekend + the 2 feet we got this week, you can see how ridiculous this has become!

Here you can see how the drifts are literally almost covering our house…

So as you guys know I typically do my 5 on Friday post, on - well, Friday. Except recently I’ve had a major case of pregnancy brain and Fridays come and go and I completely space on this topic. So here we are today on Monday, with 5 little updates on me. :)

1. Anyone local to me knows, we are BURIED in snow!! The amount is record breaking, though beautiful when you look out into the trees and roads. I can handle the snow, but it’s difficult to handle no power, which unfortunately we’ve been without since Friday night. They claim we’ll have it restored by tonight…but we’ll see. Thank goodness for my blackberry, since I can still communicate with clients, etc. - but I’ll have lots of catch up work to do at home once I can get my computer turned on again. Heat would be nice too! :)

2. So the Colts lost. :( I do think it’s pretty awesome to see a team like the Saints win, but my heart was pulling for my Indy Colts. In the end it was a good game, which kept me excited until the very end - which is always good. I think a part of me is also sad that we dont have football on Sunday’s anymore for another year. Looking forward to next year already!

3. I’m into my third trimester now with our baby boy, and it’s so much fun to feel him kick and move around all the time. We cant believe (and are slightly freaking out) that he’ll be here in 11 weeks. I mean seriously - 11 weeks!!! Ahhh! As my friend Zela told me, “babies dont really need much, but at the same time they do”. :) I’m sure we’ll figure everything out by then, but it’s overwhelming knowing all that we have to prepare for and do before the big day. I cant wait to meet him!!

4. I’m in my 4th week of prenatal yoga classes and I keep finding that I do a pose with the group, start counting to ten with the class, and then on count #9 I realize I’m doing everything opposite as everyone else. They’ll be pointing to the right, and here I am off to the left. Classic.

5. Has everyone had the two bite brownies at Whole Foods? They remind me of these little brownie bites my friend Sam used to make us when I lived in Indianapolis…which were divine as well. They are unreal…so, so, so yummy.

Until next Friday - (if I can remember), have a great week!

BOY!!!!!!!!

We’re SO BEYOND excited to be expecting our baby boy. Every time I start to think about it I get teary eyed. I’m already so in love with him! Merry Christmas everyone!
