I have been so busy this fall that I’ve neglected to come in and post about a few exciting things going on personally with me! First and foremost is that our family is so proud and SO excited to announce we’re expecting a baby girl this March! Heath is excited to be a big brother and we are looking forward to becoming a family of 4. It’s been so fun to be back in the pregnant stage of babies again, and to relate with my maternity and newborn clients on a whole different and closer level since I’m right there with them again! I am currently booking for 2012 sessions and will be taking a short maternity leave from the middle of March until May (with a few exceptions) so if you’re interested in booking a winter or spring session I definitely recommend contacting me now as I’m filling up fast!!

For more business (and fun) news I am excited to share that one of my photos of this gorgeous maternity session has been published in this Fall’s issue of Expectant Mother’s Guide!

While I still have just a few holiday sessions still to do for 2011, I have to say it has been an INCREDIBLE fall and I have had SO.MUCH.FUN photographing my client’s holiday photos this year. I have met amazing families and seen such love and joy – it makes my job so rewarding and meaningful to me, so thank you all for going with me on that journey. Here’s one photo from my house to yours – from our Christmas tree we just put up this week(and which heath has tried to destroy nightly) and one sneak peek from our own holiday photos that Dave helped me take the other day. Just like so many of my clients’ – I rarely get to be IN the photos so I cherish every picture taken of me with my son and family. So even though I really need to brush my hair, and you can only partially see my baby bump – it’s us!

I have been a bad mommy photographer and rarely take any session photos with my own baby anymore. I take weekly snapshot photos with my awesome pocket point and shoot camera (which unfortunately broke at the beach this last week!) but I was overdue for an actual session with my almost 16 month old boy! This session focused on putting Heath to work modeling the adorable, warm and cozy winter hat and scarf set from the incredible Puntebella store (on etsy – http://www.puntebella.etsy.com/) This is for her upcoming fall and winter line and Heath loved putting the hat on and running around with the scarf. He’ll look adorable this winter wearing this with either a brown corduroy coat or a navy raincoat, and this totally puts me in the mood for fall!

Check out Puntebella‘s site for more of her incredible items and check back for new fall and winter items coming soon!

There really are no words to describe the happiness and joy that this little guy has brought into our family’s lives. Jameson Syed was born on a Sunday, and every day since has been brighter and better than the last. I am so thankful that Heath has a little cousin to grow up with, and that our family is now +1 bigger. I’ve never had a nephew before and I am loving being an aunt! My first gift to him was a photosession to document this time in his life – when everything is new and little and precious. I am the proud aunt of this beautiful and adorable sweet baby boy:

Next week I say goodbye to my 20′s and step happily into being 30 years old. I know this phases some people, but I had a great past 10 years living in my “20′s” and am so excited to see what the next 10 brings. In my 20′s I graduated college, moved to two different states, married my husband, had a baby, started my own company, ran a 1/2 marathon (ok walked), became a certified scuba diver, drove cross country, and traveled to 5 continents. I made friends and lost loved ones, found unconditional love and the simple joy of being a family.

My little baby boy is turning 1 this next week too – 2 days after I turn 30. His birthday is surreal to me, as I know it’s cliche but time really does go by so fast. It feels like just yesterday that we were swaddling him and watching his first smiles…and now he’s a ball of energy trying to take his first steps. I couldnt be prouder of the boy he’s becoming, but I wish I could bottle up these last 12 months and hold on to them forever. Happy birthday to my sweet little boy!

My little dude is 10 months old now and ALLLLLLL OVER the place. He can climb stairs in a second, is cruising around on furniture, enjoys throwing toys clear across the living room, and chasing after our poor cats. I took him out yesterday in the last few days of winter to do his modeling debut for Punta Bella. Punta Bella makes some of the cutest knit hats and I use them for clients and for my own baby (seen HERE at 7 months!)

These three hats were custom made for Heath’s little noggin and were so adorable with the tiny visor. Such a little man!
