Sweet baby L was such a dream to photograph – he slept like a champ as soon as he was cuddled, and his full head of awesome dark hair and perfect little features made it such fun to photograph his sweet face. When he was awake he was happy and chill – just checking out the room and what we were all up to. His family was so much fun to hang around for the session too as we swapped stories about toddler boys and adding a newborn to the mix (which made me more excited for my own newborn to arrive this spring!) His arrival made it just in time for Christmas so of course we had to photograph a few fun holiday details during the session too. Enjoy these sneak peeks of this beautiful baby boy!!!

The first thing I noticed about this beautiful baby girl when I saw her was her stunning hazel eyes! She had these inquisitive eyes just checking everything out, and the warmest brightest smile you can imagine. Her parents were so sweet too and when mama wasnt making her laugh, daddy was cuddling her and keeping her happy. She was adorable at the studio today and it warmed up enough to even pop outside for some beautiful sun filled images. Enjoy these sneak peeks of this beautiful baby girl!

It’s like santa’s workshop here at the studio with shipments of canvases, holiday cards, storyboards, prints and albums arriving in mass quantities and being wrapped and packaged up to ship out to all my amazing clients. It’s my favorite time of year! Here’s a little break for you today to check out the cuteness overload that is miss Olivia (and big sister Sydney who helped out so much) modeling some amazingly cute clothes. The baby legs and diaper covers are made from an amazing artist called The Cuddle Loom and Olivia was the perfect model. I first photographed this family for their stunning maternity photos with their Bellies & Babies package, and then I did Olivia’s adorable newborn photos a bit later! I love getting to know families this way – and seeing Olivia so grown up now (and seeing how tall and beautiful big sister Sydney is getting!) was so fun. Enjoy these sneak peeks of these beautiful girls modeling fun clothes and headbands!

I have been so busy this fall that I’ve neglected to come in and post about a few exciting things going on personally with me! First and foremost is that our family is so proud and SO excited to announce we’re expecting a baby girl this March! Heath is excited to be a big brother and we are looking forward to becoming a family of 4. It’s been so fun to be back in the pregnant stage of babies again, and to relate with my maternity and newborn clients on a whole different and closer level since I’m right there with them again! I am currently booking for 2012 sessions and will be taking a short maternity leave from the middle of March until May (with a few exceptions) so if you’re interested in booking a winter or spring session I definitely recommend contacting me now as I’m filling up fast!!

For more business (and fun) news I am excited to share that one of my photos of this gorgeous maternity session has been published in this Fall’s issue of Expectant Mother’s Guide!

While I still have just a few holiday sessions still to do for 2011, I have to say it has been an INCREDIBLE fall and I have had SO.MUCH.FUN photographing my client’s holiday photos this year. I have met amazing families and seen such love and joy – it makes my job so rewarding and meaningful to me, so thank you all for going with me on that journey. Here’s one photo from my house to yours – from our Christmas tree we just put up this week(and which heath has tried to destroy nightly) and one sneak peek from our own holiday photos that Dave helped me take the other day. Just like so many of my clients’ – I rarely get to be IN the photos so I cherish every picture taken of me with my son and family. So even though I really need to brush my hair, and you can only partially see my baby bump – it’s us!

Sweet and beautiful baby Violette was such a happy baby to photograph! Even though it was a bit chilly out (though still pretty nice for December) she was such a trooper and was full of smiles and giggles and happiness. She is so cute toddling around on her little feet, wandering all over the place while smiling and clapping. She loved playing with dad and being cuddled by mom, and her blue eyes captured my heart! For this session we started in Baker Park in downtown Frederick, MD and then wandered over to Church Street to check out the fun architecture and ivy. Enjoy these sneak peeks of this beautiful family!
