Last night I spent the evening with hundreds of lovely ladies dressed as Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and all for a great cause (Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund at FMH). Colonial Jewelers in downtown Frederick put on this fab soiree which included cocktails at their jewelry store right on Market St., and then a short walk down the red carpet to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Weinberg Center. I met so many cool people, photographed hundreds of beauties in tiaras, shook hands with the mayor and pet a chihuahua. Good times!

Turner Photography Studios photographed the ladies formal portraits inside of the theater and you can view and purchase their prints directly from their site HERE.

I wandered around mostly enjoying the atmosphere…but I did manage to capture some of the energy and fun inside and spilling out into the streets. Enjoy these images I captured from this fun annual event. If you were one of the Holly Golightly girls check out your ‘kit’ bag for a card from me to you with a special gift for a future session with me!

Next year I’m grabbing all my girlfriends and we’re going to go!

How does that little nursery rhyme go…something along the lines of little boys eat snips and snails (which I have no idea what a snip is but I bet if my son found one he’d eat it) and little girls are sugar and spice. During this session with this beautiful and loving family I kept thinking about this rhyme and how perfectly true it was for these two little girls. They were beyond adorable – too beautiful for words, and had the sweetest personalities. I’m sure they get this from their parents who were so patient and sweet with them (and eachother) and actually with me too! I had a bit of an epic morning ride heading in to meet them (first a downed power line which re-routed me 30 minutes in the other direction) and then my GPS failed me miserably…but they just kept their laid back and happy selves occupied until I finally arrived. I love all my clients and see happy families all the time, but I can honestly say I’ve never seen siblings in this age range act as well behaved and adorable as these two did. 2 and 4 years old?! That can melt down quickly…but these two were awesome. I was so happy to tag along with them as they wandered through the gorgeous grounds of Gramercy Mansion which is the location of mom and dad’s wedding several years ago. It would be a stunning place to get married, and it was a perfect place to capture this family and their love for eachother and life. This is a huuuuuge sneak peek – they deserve it for me being such a crazy woman driving to them!
Enjoy!!

First up is beautiful and sweet miss L.

Cocktails, tiaras, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s….what could be better?! Ladies it’s time to grab your little black dress and your girlfriends and head to downtown Frederick THIS WEDNESDAY evening for a spectacular event for a great cause. Colonial Jewelers and the Weinberg Center will be hosting the annual Breakfast at Tiffany’s event this Wednesday, May 25th. You can read all the details HERE and I will be participating too! I’ll be around town taking some fun images of you all rocking your tiaras as you wander around enjoying the cocktails and specials so many local restaurants will be offering. Be sure to check out my blog later this week for images from this fabulous event. Remember there are only limited tickets available so be sure to get them now – just stop by Colonial Jewelers either today or tomorrow before the event to purchase your ‘kit’ which includes all your Holly Golightly accessories (earrings, necklace, tiara, cigarette holder, gloves, sunglasses), cocktail party beforehand, tickets to the Breakfast at Tiffany’s show at the Weinberg, coupons for businesses around town, and more. And the best part is that ALL of the proceeds from this event go to charity for the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund at FMH. See you there!!!

I seriously love the 6-12 month old baby stage. LOVE! This amazingly cute little guy was such a cuddle bug and is totally advanced as he is only 7 months old and is standing and crawling! His big eyes took everything in while we wandered around the historic section of Ellicott City and we all enjoyed one of this season’s most beautiful days yet. This family was so loving and sweet and chatting with mom (while dad ran back home to grab his little crab onesie) was like talking with a long lost friend. We found lots of fun little spots to let baby G play around and be himself, and he did so great during the entire session. It was so nice to meet you all and I hope everyone enjoys these sneak peeks!

When this mama-to-be first stepped out of the car after arriving at my studio I seriously gasped. She is breathtakingly beautiful, has the perfect baby bump, the coolest clothes…and daddy-to-be is pretty amazing too. They were SUCH a fun and outgoing couple and I had such a great time chatting with them like old friends. We had a fun adventure off-roading to get to this amazing field, and they were so creative with their outfits and ideas. We even found a field of wild buttercups which managed to match her yellow heels perfectly like they were put there just for us(obviously – that’s how I roll!) This couple is going to make one incredibly beautiful baby and I’m so happy for them as they head into their new big adventure!

Enjoy these sneak peeks of this beautiful maternity session!
