Every time I remember to photograph some of the products that come through my studio, I kick myself for not doing it more often. I must say, receiving the big boxes from my labs never gets old…and I often find myself staring out the window waiting for the UPS or Fedex trucks to arrive bringing me the goodies. I love digging into the boxes of prints and pouring over them looking at every single detail. There is something about seeing your images in print that brings back the feeling of that session day. I get so pumped seeing the storyboards in person too – they are my most popular product and designing them with my clients is always a blast. The mini albums are awesome to keep on your desk or throw into your purse and are always designed for your session. Here are a few shots from one of my packages before it was delivered – seeing them just makes me happy.

I had to sneak one sneak peek in today in between packaging orders and editing…this cutie melted my heart! This sweet little boy had the cutest eyelashes and lips – and reminded me why I love newborns!

Just one for now –

I realized that I didnt have a single family photo of us all together since in the hospital…which trust me, no one wants to see. In said photo, my face was a lovely shade of gray, my whole body swollen with IV fluids, and Dave had a shell shocked expression. In fact now that I think of it, maybe I should just throw that photo away.

This brings us to an impromptu quick family photosession we scrounged up. I was in the middle of grilling outside when I noticed a storm rolling in and some yummy fading light, so I grabbed my camera and set up the settings for my mom to take – and finally I’m in FRONT of the camera in some!!! I cant tell you how excited I am about that – I never get in any photos so I’m happy Heath has these of him and his mama, and I love the ones of us as a family. I hope he looks back at these someday and realizes how much we love him.

And yeah I totally burned the grilled chicken.

I’m just now getting around to uploading these images from last weekend at the Bay. It was our first vacation since having Heath and it was sooooo nice to get away. Saturday’s weather wasnt great but we made the most of it by relaxing indoors, drinking sangria and listening to music. Sunday’s weather though was beautiful and the girls headed down to catch some sun by the shore while the guys played golf…typical. Heath did great (we were a bit nervous about his first night away from his crib) and it gave us some new found confidence in taking some more trips in the future. Good times!!

Can I still call him my newborn? Please!!? Every day I go over to his crib in the morning and peer over the side, and his little face looks up at me and smiles. Nothing melts my heart more! He’s loving swimming in the pool this summer but the bright sun seems to bother his bright blue eyes, so we’ve been taking him in after 5:00pm so he can avoid the really harsh light. He also loves to ‘stand’ up and flex his little leg muscles. This is hilarious because his face contorts into a look of pure effort as his eyebrows shoot towards the ceiling and his lips purse into a circle. He’s so cute…I cant get enough.
