Then comes moving across the country, a military career…and now a baby on the way! This gorgeous couple just oozed excitement and happiness over their baby girl due soon, and I loved that we did this photosession around sunset. Happy expectant couple + a setting sun + warm summer nights = beautiful! I was so excited when she mentioned doing some photos in his military dress uniform too…her all dolled up (complete with red lips and kitten heels!) and him strong and tall in his uniform…it totally brought to mind to a vintage era. I loved loved loved hanging out with these two and chatting about their little one on the way – so fun!

My sweet baby is almost 2 months old – where did the time go!? This weekend I’m sooooo excited to have some of my Indianapolis friends coming into town to visit!!! EEK!!! SOOOOO PUMPED! I realized this week that I better start dressing my son in some of the adorable outfits he’s been given instead of only just the cotton onesies I normally reach for…and so has my obsession with tiny clothing begun. I tried popping his collar solely for the purpose of this photo – (while Dave had his back turned…he would cringe if he saw this). Now all he needs are some croakies and brown flip flops and he’d be set.

I couldnt resist this blog post title…just like I couldnt resist snuggling and photographing this sweetpea newborn baby girl named, you guessed it – Caroline. She’s just the cutest little thing ever, and I loved chatting (and actually GIVING some advice instead of just asking for it) with her mama and daddy. She has her dad wrapped around her tiny (and long) fingers and her mom is quite the natural at all of this. It was such a joy to spend some time with you guys!! Enjoy!

We’re definitely in the swing of things here. I went back to work, started exercising again, and life is starting to regain a sense of normalcy. Heath is doing awesome and is starting to somewhat sleep through the night, is growing like a weed, and has made my heart melt by starting to smile a ton and I even heard an actual laugh today. Not much is better than seeing your baby smile and laugh.

My sweet baby is 6 weeks old now and smiling and starting to laugh. Melt!! Here are some snaps of the faces of Heath (minus the screaming, crying, fussy one which I’ll pretend doesnt exist…)

And we’ve spent most afternoons in the pool enjoying these sunny days. Heath hated the water at first but now loves to kick his little legs and ‘swim’ laps with dad. It is so cute to watch his eyes get really wide and big and move his little body in the water. I could watch him all day!
