I truly feel so blessed. Not only do I have the insanely gorgeous images that my friend Kelly took of me, but I was lucky enough to have Linda Wallace of Linda Wallace Photography do our family maternity photo session in Raleigh, NC this past weekend. To say I love Linda’s work is the understatement of the century. I first discovered her amazing talent while looking for the perfect wedding photographer, and I hands down feel like she was the best decision we made in regards to our wedding planning. When I called her to discuss ideas for our maternity shoot I felt like I was talking to an old friend – and her talent outshone itself once again!!! (PS she travels to DC all the time for weddings – so check her out if you’re local!)

I told her this yesterday, but I was a bawling mess of tears when I saw these photos as I love them so so much…especially important to me are the ones of Dave, me and Heath.
A family.
My family.
Seeing that – I cant describe it…but looking at a photo of our growing family together like that is like seeing us for the first time. Like I said, I feel so blessed.

Here are the sneak peeks she graciously showed me early – love!

I mentioned yesterday how I was the lucky girl who got to spend an afternoon with my friend Kelly and her gorgeous daughter Sydney running around our farm.

Today I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY with Kelly’s photos of me on her site kelphoto.com. I tried to describe this to her – but for the first time in 9 months of being pregnant, and lots of days where I felt uncomfortable and awkward about my body and the way I looked – but insanely happy at the same time with the changes I was going through – I’m looking at photos of me combining those two things and I get to see with my eyes what I was feeling the whole time. These photos had me in tears, and I feel so blessed that I actually have these images to treasure forever. Kelly is amazing!!!! You can check out more images on her site, but for one sneak peek check out this one that makes my heart melt.

My good friend Kelly of Kelphoto.com was kind and generous enough to head over to my house and take some maternity photos of me. I’ve always loved Kelly’s talented eye and I cant wait to see what she came up with! An awesome side benefit was that she brought her gorgeous daughter over and we grabbed a few photos of her under the cherry trees in her new birthday dress and princess shoes.

She then proceeded to fall in some dirt down by the barn, and stood up totally unphased (Easter chocolate still in hand!). A girl after my own heart!!

So I used to bribe her as a kid to play dolls (and school, and tag, and pretty much everything) with me and of course it shouldnt have surprised me that I had to drag her out of the house to take a couple quick photos. But the cherry blossoms were gorgeous today, and so (as always) was my sister, so we took these quickly before she ran away.

My mom almost gave her an out too as while we were taking these my mom reversed out of the driveway and nearly side swiped my new car. Thanks mom!

1. Headed to Raleigh, NC for the holiday weekend and LOVING THIS WEATHER!!!!! Spending Q time with the in laws is always fun – so lucky to have such great parents and siblings-in laws!

2. Did some double duty planning and scheduled my own maternity photo session this weekend with one of my all time favorite photographers – the talented and super sweet Linda Wallace of Linda Wallace Photography. I cant wait to see the images as she was so creative in her suggestions and ideas. It was really fun being in front of the camera this time, and I loved ‘talking shop’ with her. I’ll be sure to share the pics when I get them!

3. On the baby front – I’ve officially hit 37 weeks and am now in my 9th month of pregnancy…full term baby! I’m still feeling great though I’ve had to sadly put my rings away because my fingers are starting to resemble overstuffed sausages. I’m cherishing every single day I have with Heath in my belly so I can still enjoy having him all to myself. :)

4. NCAA tourny excitement!!! Of course I wish Wake was still in it – but I’ll be happy seeing Butler play and even though Duke and Wake are rivals (well probably only from wake’s perspective) I’ll enjoy seeing them play as well. Love college bball!!

5. So excited about the weather turning warm again too! I love all the gorgeous cherry blossom trees and flowers everywhere…there’s something about spring and 70 degree temps that just make me happy!

Have an awesome weekend everyone!
